Nubill’s hosted billing solutions consist of independent, though interoperable engines, to provide a seamless billing process, while facilitating optimal performance and true scalability. In cases where service providers would not utilize a given engine in their billing process, Nubill can configure that service provider's hosted billing solution to by-pass that engine, thus eliminating additional steps that many billing solutions would follow regardless of the billing requirements of the service provider. Furthermore, the independent nature of each billing related engine enables Nubill to deploy as many instances of a given billing engine across as many application servers as may be needed for a service provider.
Key billing related engines include:
- Subscriber Associations and Location Lookup
- Rating
- Billing Item Associations
- Taxation
- Invoicing
- Invoice Printing and Distribution (paper or paperless)
- Payment Processing (manual and electronic)
- Web interfaces for customers, service provider partners, agents, CSRs, and Billing Administrators
While all of Nubill's hosted offerings include the Customer Service Representative (CSR) web interface, to provide service providers with a basic customer care portal for call centers, and supports customer account setup, balance adjustments, changes in services, subscriber disconnects, etc. Nubill also offers its hosted CRM solution that integrates full CRM functionality for service providers looking for more than the basic customer care functionality found in the CSR web interface.
Features found in Nubill's option CRM offering include, but are not limited to trouble tickets, work orders, workflow and workload management, a knowledgebase, enhanced notes and histories, and integration of issue management with provisioning or other automated Nubill engines.
Nubill’s OSS functionality spans six broad categories: AAA, Mediation, Provisioning, Traffic Analysis, Fraud Detection, and Network Management.
Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting (AAA) servers (RADIUS/SOAP/Diameter) are responsible for processing all AAA based billing messages. AAA facilitates realtime interaction between Nubill and service providers’ networks, enabling various prepaid and/or credit limit based services.
Nubill’s Mediation servers are responsible for aggregating and reconciling billing records and other OSS/BSS related records (e.g. subscriber, QoS, partner network data). For instance, when multiple billing records exist for a single activity, Nubill can combine the records into a single billing record, while maintaining details for each leg of an activity. Under certain circumstances service providers may prefer a 3rd Party mediation solution, and Nubill can interface with such platforms, bypassing its own mediation routines.
Nubill’s Provisioning servers interface with service providers' networks to automate subscribers setup, service changes, trouble ticket procedures, etc.
Traffic Analysis solutions are provided by Nubill to monitor traffic patterns and help reveal where there may be too little or too much capacity, service providers do not meet performance thresholds, etc.
Nubill’s Fraud Detection analyzes network usage for possible abuse. Detecting and eliminating fraudulent activity increases profitability and network performance. Consistent monitoring also keeps a service provider apprised of the latest methods to defraud carrier networks.
Network Management includes analysis of network usage patterns to help identify, for example, call routes that can benefit from network expansions; most reliable partners; or to assist in wholesale contract negotiation. Network management is a key to maintaining high quality of service levels, customer satisfaction, and retention.
In order to provide meaningful and unique solutions to its customers, Nubill's experienced support and development staff are available for professional service engagements. Professional service engagements can be done on a fixed quote, or if necessary a retainer basis. Examples of professional service engagements include, but are not limited to:
- Custom tailored training for unique service provider needs.
- Advanced scripting within any of Nubill's hosted offerings.
- Custom software development, to be integrated with existing Nubill offerings and/or service providers' existing network or OSS/BSS platforms.
